TL;DR

  • Your electric bill decides it. Lehi City Power is the city’s utility, but Rocky Mountain Power serves certain addresses inside Lehi under agreements filed with the Utah PSC (2015, amended 2024). We found no public map of the split.
  • Lehi City Power’s rebate page lists no dollar amounts. It links appliance and room-AC rebates to UAMPS Smart Energy and “new air conditioners” to the ThermWise page. UAMPS says participation varies by city, so call Lehi Power (385.201.1000) before you buy.
  • On Rocky Mountain Power? Wattsmart listed $1,450 for an AHRI-rated dual-fuel heat pump ($700 if not AHRI-rated) on October 12, 2026.
  • Gas rebates apply either way: ThermWise listed $300–$350 for 95%+ AFUE furnaces and $700–$1,200 for dual-fuel systems.
  • Free match request; licensed shops that serve 84043 may reach out. We don’t install, quote, or file rebates.

Most Utah homeowners have one electric utility and one gas utility, and the rebate question is simple. Lehi is different. The city runs its own electric utility, Lehi City Power, but Rocky Mountain Power also serves some addresses inside city limits. Which one you have decides which electric rebates you can count on when you replace an AC or add a heat pump. This guide sorts it out using only what each utility publishes.

Utah HVAC Connect is a matchmaker under Apex Lead Group, LLC. We connect Lehi homeowners with licensed Utah HVAC contractors. We don’t sell equipment, install, or quote, and we don’t process rebates.

Step 1: which electric utility serves your home?

Look at the name on your electric bill. That’s the only reliable test we found.

Flowchart: Step 1, check whose name is on your electric bill. If Lehi City Power, Lehi’s rebate page links to UAMPS Smart Energy and lists no central AC or heat pump amounts, so call Lehi Power. If Rocky Mountain Power, Wattsmart lists $1,450 for AHRI-rated dual fuel or $700 non-AHRI, and air-source heat pump rebates mainly for homes already on electric heat. Step 2, either way, Enbridge Gas ThermWise lists $300 or $350 for qualifying gas furnaces and $700 to $1,200 for dual-fuel systems.

If your bill says Lehi City Power

Lehi’s Energy Conservation & Rebates page (checked October 12, 2026) has three rebate lines, each linking to another site (Lehi City):

Three things to know before you count on an electric rebate:

  1. The Lehi page doesn’t list dollar amounts. It only points elsewhere.
  2. UAMPS says participation varies. Its Smart Energy page describes heating and cooling incentives (central air conditioning, heat pumps, ductless heat pumps, gas furnaces, smart thermostats) but says incentives are offered through your local member utility, that “participation differs by measure and by city,” and that you should confirm with your utility before buying (UAMPS Smart Energy). Lehi’s page doesn’t say which of those HVAC measures Lehi offers.
  3. The “new air conditioners” link goes to a gas program. On October 12, 2026, the ThermWise page’s heating and cooling section listed gas furnaces, dual-fuel heat pump systems, boilers, and other gas equipment, but no rebate for a standalone central AC (ThermWise). A dual-fuel heat pump paired with a qualifying gas furnace can qualify there.

Bottom line for Lehi City Power customers: before you sign for a new AC or heat pump, call Lehi Power at 385.201.1000 and ask whether a central AC or heat pump rebate is available to you and how to apply. Don’t assume Rocky Mountain Power’s Wattsmart rebates apply. They’re for RMP customers only.

If your bill says Rocky Mountain Power

Wattsmart’s Utah rebates are for customers who buy electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on approved rate schedules, in an existing single-family home (not new construction or manufactured homes), with work done by a program-participating contractor and the application submitted within 180 days (Wattsmart dual fuel). As listed on October 12, 2026:

Gas rebates apply either way

Your gas utility is separate from your electric utility. Lehi’s own rebate page sends furnace rebates to ThermWise. As listed on October 12, 2026 (ThermWise):

The federal 25C tax credit isn’t allowed for equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025 (IRS).

How we put this page together

This page was written by the Utah HVAC Connect editorial team, not by a contractor. We used public data only: NOAA 1991–2020 climate normals, U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) estimates, and the rebate, permit, and licensing pages published by Utah utilities, cities, and DOPL, each checked on the date shown above. For this article we read Lehi City’s power and rebate pages, two Utah Public Service Commission filings on Rocky Mountain Power service inside Lehi, and the UAMPS, Wattsmart, and ThermWise program pages. We don’t publish prices we can’t source, contractors can’t pay to be mentioned here, and we don’t name partner shops on this page. Programs and rules change, so confirm details with the program or your contractor before you sign anything. See our editorial policy. Spot an error? Email hello@utahhvacconnect.com.

FAQ

Is my Lehi home on Lehi City Power or Rocky Mountain Power?

Check the name on your electric bill. Lehi City Power is the city’s electric utility, but Rocky Mountain Power serves certain customers inside Lehi’s boundaries under agreements filed with the Utah Public Service Commission. We found no public address map, so your bill or a call to Lehi Power (385.201.1000) is the way to know.

Do Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart rebates apply in Lehi?

Only if Rocky Mountain Power is your electric utility. Wattsmart rebates require buying electricity from RMP on an approved rate schedule. Lehi City Power customers should ask Lehi Power about their own options.

Does Lehi City Power offer a central AC or heat pump rebate?

Lehi’s rebate page doesn’t list amounts. It links appliance and room-AC rebates to UAMPS Smart Energy and “new air conditioners” to the ThermWise page. UAMPS says participation differs by measure and by city. Call Lehi Power at 385.201.1000 to confirm before you buy.

What gas rebates can I get for a new furnace in Lehi?

Enbridge Gas ThermWise listed $300 for a 95%–97.4% AFUE gas furnace and $350 for 97.5% AFUE or higher with an ECM on October 12, 2026, plus $700–$1,200 for qualifying dual-fuel heat pump systems. That’s separate from your electric utility.

Is there a federal tax credit for a heat pump in 2026?

No. The IRS says the section 25C credit isn’t allowed for property placed in service after December 31, 2025.

Do you process rebates or recommend equipment?

No. Utah HVAC Connect is a free matchmaker. Licensed shops that serve your ZIP may reach out after you send a request; they discuss equipment, rebates, and pricing with you.
